Basking Ridge, New Jersey – Last month, the Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) hosted its 22nd Annual Golf Invitational, raising more than $140,000 for charities across New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Held at Stanton Ridge Golf Club on June 24, the event saw 104 golfers participate and was supported by 40 sponsors.

“The funds raised from our Golf Invitational enable the Affinity Foundation to help many charities in our communities,” said Judi Meighan, Director of the Affinity Foundation. “Thanks to our sponsors, we will be able to give more grants this year, and for that we are very grateful.”

The generosity of the event's donors will benefit the Center for Safety and Change, Preschool Advantage, Visions & Pathways, Abbott House and the Flemington Area Food Pantry, among others.

Additionally, the Golf Invitational supports the AFCU Foundation’s annual scholarship program, which is set to provide scholarships of $1,000 each to student members through the Robert L. Birkhahn Community Spirit, Richard A. Romano Rutgers and Affinity Continuing Education Scholarships.
