Credit Unions Raise Funds for GAC Scholarships with Irish Auction

At�the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas Annual�Summit in Grand Forks ND, the Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) Fund Raiser was once again an Irish Auction, an event that has always been popular at�the annual conference.� This year, the fundraiser netted a grand total of $3,840.00!� Thanks to the generosity of�Dakota credit unions, the GAC Auction has generated nearly $15,000 over the last five years not including this years donations!�
These necessary funds are used to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to members from North and South Dakota to attend the annual CUNA GAC Conference in Washington, D.C. and other meetings, such as "Hike the Hill" events, each year.� Thanks to the support and participation of our members at the Irish Auction at the Summit each year, the GAC scholarship program has awarded more than 40 scholarships since 2008.
