July 31, 2019
YOUNG HARRIS, GA – Peach State Federal Credit Union has committed to donating $2,500 to Friends of the Libraries of Towns County. The funds will support two Northeast Georgia libraries over the next five years. The Mountain Regional Library and Towns County Public Library branches will receive $500 per year through 2023 from the credit union beginning this year.
“Our commitment to our community and a foundation in education leads us to seek out and support opportunities that promote learning,” remarked Marshall Boutwell, Peach State’s President/CEO. “We’re proud to support them and the work that they do for our community.”
“This contribution is an important part of helping us achieve our mission to provide financial support for our libraries and continue to advocate for all public libraries,” said Suzanne Carter, President of the Friends of the Libraries of Towns County. “Donations like these help our public libraries provide free and equitable access to library services to everyone in our communities.”
The Mountain Regional Library and Towns County Public Library are branches of the Mountain Regional Library System, which maintains and operates four public libraries in Fannin, Towns and Union Counties.
