Eight Students Receive Dana Winkler Scholarships from Wichita Federal Credit Union

WICHITA, Kans. – June 26, 2019 -- Wichita Federal Credit Union (WFCU) has awarded 8 students with a total of $8,000 in scholarships. Each recipient was awarded $1,000 to apply toward tuition costs for post-secondary education this fall semester. WFCU began awarding scholarships in 2004 to encourage members of the credit union as they pursue their education. Since that time, 127 students have been awarded a combined total of more than $103,000 in scholarships. Candidates are members of the credit union and are selected by a committee based on grade point averages, extracurricular activities, community service, career goals and a written essay. The 2019 Recipients are:

Alexandra Corns – University of Kansas

Cammie Davis – University of Nebraska-Kearney

Dejuan McPhaul – Langston University

Jenny Nguyen – University of Kansas

Libby Schurle – Emporia State University

Meg Perez – Oklahoma State University

Payton Dearmont– Wichita State University

Samantha Howell – Wichita State University
