TruStone Financial Donates $1,000 to Fruit of the Vine Food Shelf
June 27, 2019
PLYMOUTH, Minn. - In order to celebrate TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, each of its Minnesota and Wisconsin branches is making a $1,000 donation to a local charity. As part of this initiative, TruStone Financial’s Burnsville branch recently donated $1,000 to Fruit of the Vine, a food shelf operated by Vineyard Community Services.
Fruit of the Vine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve neighbors in times of need. It provides food, essential items and resource assistance to members of its community.
Executive Director of Vineyard Community Services Brian Geraty expressed his gratitude for the donation. “Vineyard Community Services and the Fruit of the Vine Food Shelf exist on the gifts, volunteer work and compassion of individuals and community partners like TruStone Financial. Without their support, we would not be able to serve the thousands of households we serve annually,” he said.
Michael Brine, manager of the Burnsville TruStone Financial branch, said he chose Fruit of the Vine because its mission is similar to that of his credit union. “At TruStone Financial, especially in Burnsville, we pride ourselves in staying connected and involved in our local community, and part of Fruit of the Vine’s Mission includes serving their neighbors. I found our similar values a great reason to choose them for this donation.”
The charitable donations are made possible by funds from the TruStone Financial Foundation.
