Ness City, KS - On June 5, 2019 United Credit Union held their 2nd annual kids money camp from 9 am to 11 am. A total of 24 kids, 5 volunteers and 3 staff members were present. During camp, the children were split into four groups of 6, and participated in painting piggy banks, money work sheets, yard games that taught how to count money and a lemonade stand. The camp is free to attend and the kids get shirts, gift bags as well as $5 each for working the lemonade stand which they then get to decide if they want to save or spend their money. This small community steps up in a big way by stopping buy and purchasing lemonade and cookies from the kids. United Credit Union has received much positive feedback from the kids, parents and community members for the education they bring with this money camp!
