TOCCOA, GA  – The Stephens County Recreation Department received a donation of $500 from Peach State Federal Credit Union. The department provides parks and recreation activities for all residents of the county with a focus on opportunities that enhance quality of life. The donation will go toward scholarships for children who are unable to afford registration for events and activities.

“With this donation, we will be able to welcome more children to our programs,” remarked Stephens County Recreation Director, Richard Adams. “It is our goal to provide quality activities for all residents of Stephens County, and this gets us one step closer to that goal. Thanks, Peach State, for your donation and for giving back to our community. We look forward to a great working relationship for many years in the future.”
