Northland Area FCU Awards $10,000 in Student Scholarships

Oscoda, MI – Northland Area Federal Credit Union recently announced it’s 2019 Jerry Erickson Scholarship Award recipients at its annual meeting. The fund is named for Jerry Erickson, a retired volunteer and Veteran who served the credit union for 46 years. “It is always an honor to award students who exemplify the very thing Jerry lived out in everyday life. I think he would be very impressed and proud to meet these up and coming young people” said CEO Pete Dzuris. Northland honors Erickson’s years of service and now his memory with scholarships that can help student members. Award recipients were chosen with equal emphasis placed on academic achievement, community service/involvement, and essay content.

A majority of the recipients were present to receive the award on behalf of Jerry’s wife, Donna Erickson (pictured in the center).
