St. Louis, MO –First Community hosted their annual employee blood drive last week to help out the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. To also support their local hockey team, St. Louis Blues, during their NHL Playoff run, they used the theme “Do You Bleed Blue?” to encourage participation. Employees that made a donation even got to leave early the next day just so they had extra time to get ready for the Blues game that night.

Throughout the day, 32 employees were able to donate. Since one donation can save up to three lives, over 80 lives can be impacted by the donations at this blood drive alone.

Karen Dickinson, Donor Relation Consultant for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, gave her praise and thanks for hosting the drive. “We had great participation all throughout the drive. Thanks again for your continued support of our life saving mission!”
