Fargo, ND - Thanks to the wonderful support of credit union professionals, our Foundation can continue to promote the positive awareness of credit unions all across the Dakotas.

The Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas (CUFD) hosted their first Wine Tasting Fundraiser as a pre-Summit event on Sunday, April 28th at First Community Credit Union in Fargo. Approximately 55 credit union professionals purchased tickets for the event, raising more than $1,000 for the CUFD. The proceeds will be put to good use, creating even more positive awareness of credit unions through children’s charities, financial education, scholarships, and community outreach.

Attendees were able to sample a selection of 20 wines, along with specially chosen delectable pairings from Luna Fargo. Everyone had a great time, while helping to raise money for the CUFD that does so much on behalf of our member credit unions. Everyone received safe rides back to the Delta Marriott, Summit headquarters, at the end of the evening, along with a token gift of appreciation.

“I would personally like to thank each and every individual who joined us last evening at our first Foundation Wine Tasting Fundraiser,” said Lori Welder, Executive Director of CUFD. “Not only were we able to sample wonderful wines and socialize with our peers, we raised an incredible amount of money in the process. We look forward to putting the funds to work on behalf of our credit union supporters as the year progresses,” she added.
