North Star Community CU Raises $800 for CUFD

Maddock, ND A contest between the branches inspires employees to join in the “Dakota Credit Unions Care” campaign for the Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas.

Employees at North Star Community Credit Union had a great time with the “Dakota Credit Unions Care” campaign last week, as they organized a one-day challenge between the branches to see who could raise the most money with the “CU Hero” icon sales.

Shown in the photo above, the Bottineau branch team took first place, raising $250! They will receive a staff pizza party as their prize. In the end, $769.10 was raised between all of the branches. Then, North Star’s CEO, Bob Herrington, met Jeff Olson’s challenge to all CU leaders to pledge $30 – or $1 per day for every day in April. Bob made his donation of $30.90 to make North Star’s total contribution a nice even $800.

Thanks to North Star Community Credit Union for their support of the Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas. Not only did they raise money for the CUFD, they had a great time doing it!
