Naveo Credit Union Awards $4,000 in Scholarships

Somerville, MA) Naveo Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee awarded four scholarships of $1,000 each to local students during their Annual Meeting. Scholarship recipients for the 2019-2020 school year were Emmanuel Paul of Dorchester, Lyndsy Cadet of Everett, Antonio Ferreira of Melrose and Julia Griffin of Cambridge. Scholarship recipients are anonymously selected based on financial need, scholastic merit as well as community and school involvement.

Naveo Credit Union, wishes the applicants and recipients a wonderful journey ahead in reaching their academic goals, and ultimately achieving their success in life through their diligent academic work,” commented Paul Ferreira, scholarship committee chair.

Named after former board members for their dedication to education, the Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship Fund has been a part of the Credit Union since the 1980’s.
