CSE FCU Provided Over $4 Million in Financial Benefits to Members

Lake Charles, La.— The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has determined that CSE Federal Credit Union (CSE) provided $4,093,578 in direct financial benefits to its 29,988 members during the twelve months ending in September 2018. These benefits are equivalent to approximately $287 per member household, up from $110 in 2016 and $155 in 2017. In regards to high-use member households in the current time period, it has been determined that CSE provided $1,431 in direct financial benefits.

As a whole, credit unions generally provide financial benefits to members by charging less for loans, paying more on deposits and charging fewer/lower fees compared to traditional banking institutions.
