Spokane Valley, Wash. – Numerica Credit Union’s Amanda Swan, Community Relations Manager, recently received an award for volunteerism with the YWCA.

On March 27, 2019, YWCA Spokane, along with friends, partners, and supporters, joined in celebration of the agency’s 116th birthday, a reflection of successes in the previous year, and acknowledgment of the organization’s annual award honorees.

At the event, Swan received their Volunteer Shining Star Award for her volunteerism with the YWCA. The award recognizes YWCA employees, volunteers and community partners making a positive impact on the organization’s mission.

Swan worked with the YWCA as a committee member for their annual Spring Fling event, providing volunteer coordination and procurement support. She also helped manage all volunteers associated with Women of Achievement, the YWCA’s largest annual event, recruiting and managing over 50 volunteers. For her efforts, she was one of six recognized with this award by the YWCA.
