RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (April 3, 2019) — With the impact still being felt from last month’s devastating flooding in at least four Midwest states, CO-OP Financial Services has donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross towards disaster relief in the region.

Overwhelmed leveeswater quality concerns and more recent rains are contributing to the on-going need for aid,” said Todd Clark, President/CEO for CO-OP. “Our donation is tied to the foundation of the credit union movement – people helping people. We have also been contacting clients and CO-OP employees in the Midwest to assess needs and determine where we can additionally help. The safety of credit union employees, their members and our own employees is our paramount concern.”

CO-OP has more than 200 credit union clients in the impacted states of Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin, in addition to maintaining a major employee population center in Des Moines, Iowa.

CO-OP manages two industry networks that can service credit unions members throughout the country whenever they are away from home – and can play a critical role in member service in time of natural disaster. The CO-OP Shared Branch network includes 5,700 credit union branches nationwide, the second largest branch network in the country, enabling members to enter any branch and conduct business as if they were right at home. In addition, CO-OP ATM provides surcharge-free access to 30,000 ATMs across the country for members of participating credit unions.

To find a CO-OP Shared Branch or a CO-OP ATM, members can visit https://co-opcreditunions.org/locator; or download the CO-OP ATM and CO-OP Shared Branch mobile locator app at Google Play and iTunes stores.
