Thanks to the efforts of the SE 605 Chapter of Credit Unions, hockey fans in Sioux Falls, South Dakota were able to witness credit unions in action during the Stampede hockey game last Saturday evening.

Representatives from the chapter were on location for the pre-game puck drop ceremony, where they presented a donation of $8,000 to Feeding South Dakota. The donation included funds raised from the chapter’s charity golf tournament last summer, plus $5 from each ticket purchased for this game when “credit unions” were mentioned. In addition, the first 1,000 fans arriving at the game received a fun pair of “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” sunglasses!
