NuMark Credit Union to Host Free Seminar "How to Use LinkedIn"

March 2019 – Today is the age of media. The problem is that there are so many media platforms, and they all are used in different ways. Among the platforms for professionals, LinkedIn is growing. With more than 610 million users and availability in 200 countries, it is clear that it is here to stay. But how can the platform be successfully used?

LinkedIn has often been described by users as similar to Facebook but a “Professional” Facebook. Facebook’s main objective is to connect people around the world, which is done by sharing media of social events such as birthday parties, weddings, etc. However, on LinkedIn, things are kept more professional. Unlike Facebook, your LinkedIn profile primarily lists previous employers and professional accomplishments.

NuMark Credit Union wants to help you become more familiar with LinkedIn at their free seminar titled “How to Use LinkedIn.” This seminar will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 22nd at NuMark Credit Union in Crest Hill located 2380 Caton Farm Road.

LinkedIn can be a powerful social media platform used for professional networking, recruiting, expanding career knowledge and searching for your next career move. “This seminar will give you techniques to maximize your LinkedIn account,” said Linda Krakora, NuMark Credit Union Training Manager. “Regardless if you are newer to LinkedIn or a more experienced user, this seminar will give you techniques to grow your personal brand and/or your business.”
