About National Medal of Honor Day

National Medal of Honor Day is observed on March 25th each year to honor Medal of Honor Recipients. Each branch of the U.S. military awards the Medal of Honor to those who have distinguished themselves "conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity” above and beyond the call of duty. National Medal of Honor Day is a time to remember the sacrifices of men and women in uniform who have earned this highest of military honors.

About Medal of Honor Recipient, Retired U.S. Army, Captain Florent “Flo” Groberg

Celebrated military hero, Florent “Flo” Groberg was on his second deployment to Afghanistan in August 2012 when he demonstrated ultimate selflessness by tackling a suicide bomber, saving countless lives. Florent’s bravery and actions earned him the Medal of Honor, the nation’s top award for valor in combat, bestowed by President Obama in November 2015.

Today, as director of veteran’s outreach at Boeing and LinkedIn’s veteran’s program spokesperson, he is a powerful and prominent advocate for veterans’ issues. His book, “8 Seconds of Courage,” reveals lessons he learned on leadership, teamwork and overcoming adversity on the battlefield, and their direct application and connection to executives, managers and business situations.
