Credit Union Foundation of Dakotas Donates $2,500 to CUAid
March 27, 2019
Bismarck, ND - Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas is pleased to announce a donation of $2,500 to CUAid in response to the devastating flooding in Nebraska and the Midwest. The disaster relief funds will be distributed to the Nebraska Credit Union League, which will be working with their credit unions to access the needs of those affected.
Nebraska Credit Union League President and CEO Scott Sullivan said, “Credit unions have continued to step-up in the wake of disasters and showcase their cooperative spirit and ‘people helping people’ philosophy. Because of that, we can quickly distribute funds to those who need it most. Thank you to all those who have contributed to CUAid and made this possible.”
Credit unions in the Dakotas don’t have to go far back in time to remember the devastation some of our credit unions, employees, and members suffered when we experienced flooding in several of our communities. “We have been the benefactor of the CUAid program when our members were impacted by flooding in 2010 and 2011,” said Jeff Olson, President/CEO of CUAD. “I am pleased that our own Foundation continues to pay it forward with their generous donation.”
Credit unions and credit union employees can also help by making donations to the CUAid disaster fund managed by the National Credit Union Foundation. To learn more about how CUAid has helped credit unions and their members, or to make a donation, visit the Foundation’s website. 100% of the donations through CUAid goes to credit union disaster relief.
