Baxter, Minn. (March 14, 2019)- Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union Grant Committee recently donated $1700 to the Northland Arboretum. The funds will be used to support the Arboretum’s efforts to educate the public and promote good stewardship of the environment.

The Northland Arboretum is a member-supported, non-profit organization that was founded when the Brainerd Landfill closed in 1972. It encompasses over 500 acres in the heart of Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. The Arb is open dusk to dawn, seven days a week for residents and visitors. With many magnificent gardens and a Garden Gazebo used for weddings, it is a place of tranquility to get away from the hustle and bustle of work life and back into nature.

Mid Minnesota is committed to serving their communities, through volunteering, sponsorship and donations. Many staff use the Northland Arboretum, whether they are enjoying a leisure walk or attending one of the many events held there.

Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative serving central Minnesota. The credit union has 10 full-service branch locations offering all your financial needs under one roof.  They also participate in CO-OP Shared Branching offering an additional 5,400 locations nationwide if you are traveling, away at school, on business and more!
