Mandan, ND - Railway Credit Union (RCU) is pleased to announce their first group of Emerging Leaders. RCU just recently started this employee classification to identify qualified staff that demonstrate certain leadership characteristics that are a material benefit to their organization today, and into the future. The Emerging Leader Classification is designed to serve as a stepping stone for employees to transition into a more robust leadership role within the credit union.

Congratulations to these fine employees of RCU, the first group of Emerging Leaders who are ready to take the next step into business and organizational leadership:

  • Nikki Pokrzywinski – Mortgage Coordinator

  • Stephanie Heim – Member Engagement Director

  • Travis Dengel – Loan Officer

To be considered for this designation, certain qualifications must be met, including demonstrated potential to be a positive leadership example, and serving the credit union in a manner that provides valuable services needed by Railway CU and/or the membership. Individuals are eligible for nomination after one full year of service to RCU.  There is a three-step selection process which includes nomination from the Managing Officers, a short presentation from the nominee, and an interview with the Managing Officers. Candidates must demonstrate loyalty to RCU and the credit union movement, a willingness to volunteer in ancillary roles needed at RCU, dedication to their current position and RCU, willingness to improve and grow within the organization, and impeccable honesty.
