Westerly Community CU�Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics Rhode Island

Westerly Community Credit Union helped celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics Rhode Island by hosting a 50 Year Celebration Banner signed by the Special Olympics athletes. The banner has traveled throughout Rhode Island to various credit unions representing the contributions they made as part of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA). To date, the CCUA has raised over $1 Million dollars and has been a major sponsor for over 18 years!

Rhode Island currently has over 4,000 Special Olympics athletes that participate in more than 1,600 training and athletic competition opportunities in 21 different sports.
