Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union Awards $1,500 to Gateways Community Services
January 22, 2019
We share a passion for our members and community: that’s our common thread.
LOWELL, MA – As the New Year rang in, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union closed out the last Give-A-Click campaign of 2018 with Gateways Community Services as the winner. Gateways Community Services received a $1,500 donation from the Credit Union’s We Share A Common Thread Foundation.
The Give-A-Click program runs every quarter on the We Share a Common Thread Foundation website. Community members visit the site, learn about three worthy non-profit contestants, and cast their vote for the one they would like to support. The organization with the most votes at the end of the quarter is awarded a $1,500 donation from the Foundation.
“Our community is so supportive of us,” said Sandy Pelletier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gateways Community Services. “Businesses like Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union really value what we do,” she added.
Gateways Community Services is based in Nashua, NH, and provides supportive services to children and adults with disabilities, as well as to seniors and veterans. The organization offers educational opportunities, social activities, healthcare assistance and more to individuals and their families.
“Gateways Community Services is a wonderful non-profit organization that helps thousands of people and their families each year get the support they need,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We are proud to name them our Give-A-Click winner and provide them with a $1,500 donation prize to assist in their mission,” he added.
Pelletier says that Gateways is seeing an increase in the need for autism services, and the donation will most likely benefit the organization’s Autism Center.
Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union was also honored to feature Dwelling House of Hope and Alternative House as nominees in the 2018 fourth quarter Give-A-Click campaign.
The 2019 contest kicked off on January 1st with the following organizations vying for the next donation: Adam Keenan Foundation; Get There, Start Now; and Partnership for Successful Living.
Voting is now open at WeShareACommonThread.org, and all community members are encouraged to visit the website to cast their vote.
