Credit Union Awards Scholarships to Outstanding Students

amocoTEXAS CITY, Texas�- AMOCO Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 - 2014 Scholarship Award. This years recipients will receive a $1,000 scholarship and will be given an opportunity to build professional skills, complete a team project, and work with designated mentors at AMOCO Federal Credit Union.

The AMOCO Scholarship is designed to foster new generations of business leaders and credit union advocates. Students will have the opportunity to intern at AMOCO during the summer of 2014. In addition to enhancing their academic studies with hands on experience, students will also build credit union skill sets.

AMOCO has awarded scholarships to outstanding students for over five years. This years recipients include:
  • Kip Urps Jr. (Texas City High School, Texas City) - accepted to Mays Business School at Texas A&M College Station and plans to earn a degree in Finance.
  • Serenity Trevino (Texas City High School, Texas City) - attending University of Houston Clear Lake and plans to earn a degree in Accounting.
  • Kristen F. Gundermann (Texas City High School, Texas City) - accepted to Stephen F. Austin State University and plans to earn a degree in Mass Communications.
  • Tyler Scott Walker (Texas City High School, Texas City) -� accepted to Blinn College and plans to transfer to Texas A&M Galveston to earn a degree in Marine Transportation & Administration
