Fargo, ND - Gifts of time and love are the basic ingredients of a Very Merry Christmas! That is why the Fargo VA Federal Credit Union wanted to help this holiday season by bringing in donations of fleece blankets for the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo.

The credit union challenged each VA Department to make at least one blanket to donate. Staff then collected the new fleece tie blankets for adults and children who are currently receiving cancer treatments. “In this difficult time, our hope is that a new blanket will warm their spirits during this Holiday Season,” said Jana Thune, CEO of Fargo VA Credit Union. Staff was able to present 59 blankets to the center!

Fargo VA FCU was chartered in 1935 and now stands at 10.7 million in assets, and over 1,500 members. It is a closed field of membership that serves employees of the Veterans Administration Medical and Regional Office Center and other small groups of veterans’ related employees and their families.
