December 17, 2018
Brownstown, MI— December 12, 2018 — Advantage One Credit Union is pleased to announce that, for the first time in our history, one of our members was chosen as the grand prize winner of the Michigan Credit Union League Legislative Action Fund Grand Raffle! A total of seven prizes were awarded to members of different Michigan credit unions, with the grand prize being $20,000 cash.
Samuel Kane was very excited to get the call that he had won and, as of now, plans to keep the majority of the money in his savings for future use. Head Teller, Emma Compton, was the recipient of $500 for selling the winning ticket. She was happy to have the extra cash to use for Christmas.
The Grand Raffle is one of the credit union industry’s largest fundraising activities, with proceeds benefitting the MCUL Federal PAC advocacy efforts and the potential to raise upwards of $325,000. Tickets typically go on sale at the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates Governmental Affairs Conference in the spring and the drawing is held in November.
