Red River Chapter Donates to the Emergency Food Pantry

Fargo, ND - On December 6th, 2018, the Red River Chapter of Credit Unions held their annual Holiday Social. There was plenty of fun, food, and entertainment for attendees this year! A local high school choir came dressed as carolers and sang holiday songs during dinner. The very popular annual Irish Auction was held once again. Each year, donations go to a different charity; this year’s charity was the Emergency Food Pantry. Stacie Loegering, Executive Director of the Emergency Food Pantry, provided a presentation about the organization, who they serve, and how everything is operated.

The Red River Chapter is proud to announce that the total raised this year was $3,003 - exceeding last year's total by nearly $600! In addition to the Irish Auction donation, attending credit unions were encouraged to bring food and household supply donations. The chapter collected more than 250 lbs of goods for the local food pantry. Ms. Loegering was moved to tears, overwhelmed with all the donations. It was calculated that the chapter donation would help feed 150 families of four for a week.
