Member One FCU Donates $1,000 to Stepping Stone Mission
December 7, 2018
Roanoke, VA – Member One FCU recently donated $1,000 to the Stepping Stone Mission feeding organization in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The donation was a result of Member One’s quarterly Denim Days for Charities where employees donate money in exchange for wearing jeans on a specific day.
“Member One employees love the Denim Days for Charities opportunity because it provides an accessible and fun way to give back to deserving organizations in the communities we serve,” said Andrea Milliron, Vice President, Market Relationship Manager with Member One. “We’re thrilled to support the Stepping Stone Mission and help to provide meals to those in need in Franklin County.”
Stepping Stone Mission works to alleviate hunger in the Franklin County community by providing free food to those who have become victims of unfortunate circumstances and cannot meet their own basic needs. The organization was founded on the vision of ensuring that all individuals, regardless of gender, race, religion, age, or handicap, have access to at least one hot meal per day.
“The Stepping Stone Mission was thrilled to be the recipient of Member One’s fourth quarter Denim Days for Charities funds,” said Joanne Patterson, Director of Stepping Stone Mission.” This gift will help to support our feeding program which provides a hot meal to those in need in Franklin County every single day of the year.”
