Freedom Credit Union Raises $890 for Children's Hospital
December 6, 2018
(Warminster, PA – December 6, 2018) The men of Freedom Credit Union participated in the No Shave November fundraising event. No Shave November is a month-long journey during which participants refrain from shaving and grooming in order to stir up conversation and raise cancer awareness.
All of the men who participated donated the money they would have spent on shaving and grooming to CHOP, the nation's first hospital devoted exclusively to the care of children. As a hospital that relies on donations to make a difference in children’s lives, we wanted to support this organization in order to see our youth succeed and live happy, healthy lives.
More information about CHOP can be found at https://www.chop.edu/. Participants and other employees made donations for this great cause, which were all matched by Freedom Credit Union. A total of $890 was raised. Fellow Freedom staffers were asked to vote on the best/worst facial hair. The winner received a gift card for a free cut and shave, donated by Players Barber Shop in Hatboro, PA.
