PLYMOUTH, Minn. (November 29, 2019) — TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union employees recently raised $675 for the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc., a nonprofit in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The funds were raised during the credit union’s monthly Casual for a Cause event, in which employees make a donation to participate in casual Friday. The TruStone Financial Foundation provided a matching contribution for a total gift of $1,350.

"The Hope Council is so grateful to TruStone Financial for choosing our agency to be the recipient of the Casual for a Cause funds from October,” says Guida Brown, Executive Director of the Hope Council. “We consider ourselves to be the 'little agency that could,' but we can't without help from our community. This donation will make a difference in the lives of countless Kenosha County residents who are affected by a loved one's substance use disorder.”

Since 1968, the Hope Council has been committed to reducing the impact of drug and alcohol abuse in the Kenosha community. The organization provides education, prevention, intervention and referral services to support those affected by drug and alcohol abuse. “The Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse’s impact and importance in our community is at an all-time high,” says Kacie Osten, Vice President and Director of Wisconsin Branches for TruStone Financial. “Guida and her staff provide so much in the form of education and support, and we at TruStone are very proud to be able to contribute to their mission.”
