Minneapolis, Minnesota - SPIRE recently announced its partnership with HOURCAR, an independent, nonprofit carshare organization. Car sharing complements other forms of transportation such as walking, biking, transit and taxicabs.  An access hub is now available at SPIRE’s Minneapolis location.

HOURCAR gives people in the Twin Cities region a tool to minimize car travel, resulting in cleaner air and fewer greenhouse gas emissions. HOURCAR is also committed to increasing transportation and car-sharing access to everyone in the Twin Cities, especially in underserved communities.

“Our Minneapolis branch is in the heart of Prospect Park, which is amidst redevelopment and revitalization,” says Grace Jones, SPIRE’s Minneapolis Branch Manager, “We’re proud to be able to contribute to the area’s efforts to be environmentally friendly.”
