Texas Trust Employees Raised $1,130 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
November 16, 2018
ARLINGTON, Texas – November 15, 2018 – A number of Texas Trust Credit Union employees raised $1,130 in the 24-hour Extra Life game-a-thon held at the credit union’s headquarters recently.
The Extra Life game-a-thon is a national event that bring people together to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by playing games – from PS4 to poker to classic board games to playing H-O-R-S-E outdoors. Extra Lifers are game enthusiasts that have turned their passion into helping sick and injured children. The name comes from the “extra life” gamers earn when completing certain feats when playing electronic games. Texas Trust’s Extra Lifers raised money by securing pledges, or donations for playing during the 24-hour event.
Texas Trust is donating the money that its employees raised to the Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, one of the 170 hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network. The money raised will allow the hospital to fund research and training, purchase life-saving equipment, and pay for uncompensated care.
