Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union Announces Legacy Fund Recipients
November 14, 2018
We share a passion for our members and community: that’s our common thread.
LOWELL, MA – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is proud to announce the 2018 recipients of the Steve Jones Legacy Fund are: A Bed for Every Child (Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless), Greater Lowell Family YMCA, Town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, My Father’s House and D’Youville Life & Wellness Community.
The Credit Union established the Steve Jones Legacy Fund through its We Share A Common Thread Foundation in memory of Steve Jones. Steve was a 20-year veteran of the Credit Union, and was well-known throughout the Greater Lowell community for his tireless commitment to numerous organizations. He passed away unexpectedly in September 2016.
Representatives from each of the recipient organizations joined the Credit Union at the UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey game on Friday, October 26, 2018 to honor and remember Steve, who had an extraordinary impact on the local community.
“Steve Jones had a genuine passion for giving back to the community,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “The Legacy Fund allows us to continue supporting the nonprofit organizations that were dear to Steve.”
The Credit Union will continue to distribute funds on an annual basis.
