BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA – Pelican State Credit Union was recently named one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge for the fifth year in a row! This year, Pelican earned the #3 spot on the coveted list of 25 large companies despite being in direct competition with those much larger than the credit union.

This survey and awards program was created in 2014 to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Baton Rouge, benefiting its economy, workforce and businesses. The awards program is a project of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report; the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management; and Best Companies Group.

Each year since its inception in 2014, Pelican has consistently been a part of this exclusive group of companies who support an employee-centered culture.

Pelican's CEO Jeffrey K. Conrad shared, "This is an award that the entire credit union earned together. Our unique culture exists because of each and every Pelican employee who takes ownership in the credit union and brings their best every day. I consider it a privilege to work with the Pelican family, and I am so proud of this recognition."

The credit union’s benefits package includes much-loved perks including 14 paid holidays, a Tuition Reimbursement Program, the opportunity to cash in vacation days at 100% of their value and a 401k with 5% of gross annual salary contribution along with up to a 5% employer match. Pelican provides these benefits and more to over 250 team members across Louisiana!
