Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundations Casino Night Raises More Than $23,000 for Local Charities

Basking Ridge, New Jersey (November 5, 2018) – On Thursday, October 18, the Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) Foundation hosted its 7th Annual Casino Night, raising more than $23,000 for charities across New Jersey. Held at The Palace at Somerset Park, the event served as a way for members to support their community and network with local business leaders.
“We are always grateful for the support of our members, allowing the Foundation to make grants to various charities throughout the state,” said Judi Meighan, Affinity Foundation Director
. “We are also extremely proud of the organizations we partner with, as we continue to support the inspiring work they do in our community connected.”
Funds raised will benefit several local charities, including Curbing Hunger, Inc. (Basking Ridge), Morris County Organization for Hispanics Affairs (Dover), Preschool Advantage (Morristown), the Summit Area YMCA (Summit) and Table to Table (Englewood Cliffs).
The AFCU Foundation’s commitment to improving the financial lives of our communities is exemplified through its free financial wellness offerings. In 2018, AFCU has offered 200 free financial education events to over 2,000 attendees to date.
