In response to the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Michael, Christian Community Credit Union donated $5,000 towards disaster relief efforts in partnership with the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF)’s CUAid initiative. The Credit Union also donated $5,000 to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) for the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Indonesia.

The funds for the donation come from the Credit Union’s “Cards that Give to Missions” program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit cards for purchases.

“We’re proud to partner with NCUF and MAF as they work to bring help, hope, and relief to these stricken communities,” said David Estridge, Christian Community Credit Union Executive Vice President. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these devastating natural disasters.”
