FORUM CU Foundation Awards Nearly $25,000 to Local Educators

Indianapolis, Indiana, October 22, 2018 - FORUM Credit Union is pleased to announce that the FORUM Foundation has awarded $24,968 to 17 educators throughout central Indiana for the 2018-2019 school year. 
 
The Foundation was established in 2014 to strengthen the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through both collegiate scholarships and educator grants. Educator grants are available to teachers who are FORUM members and to those who work for a partnering school district.  
 
Since 2014, the FORUM Foundation has awarded over $125,000 in grants to more than 27 school districts throughout central Indiana, helping more than 23,000 students.  This year, the Foundation received applications from over 150 educators requesting nearly $300,000 for educational tools from several disciplines including STEM, literacy, art, music, and physical education.     The recipients of the 2018-2019 FORUM Foundation educator grants are:   Erin Amones, New Palestine Junior High School; Melissa Bardack, Center Grove High School; Stephanie Basile, Raymond F. Brandes School #65; Edward Berry, Franklin Central High School; David Culley, Noblesville West Middle School; Veronica Curtis, Franklin Township Middle School East; Deborah Huffine, Guion Creek Middle School; Jennifer Leavell, Mt. Vernon High School; Nicole Little, Mary Bryan Elementary School; Megan Matthew, Hamilton Heights Middle School; Ann Mennonno, Clarks Creek Elementary School; Angel Myers, New Britton Elementary School; Angela Roamer, Avon Intermediate School East; Danielle Thompson, Fall Creek Elementary School; Robert Walls, Kitley Elementary School; Nicole Walters, White River Elementary School; Kerri Wood, Belzer Middle School.
