Nymeo Federal Credit Union in partnership with the Credit Union Foundation of MD|DC and Frederick County Public Schools launched the fourth Millionaire’s Club in the county at Linganore High School. The Club will provide financial literacy education and teach leadership as well as entrepreneurial skills.

“Nymeo is excited to sponsor and help launch this Millionaire’s Club!” said Vicki Johnston, Nymeo’s President and CEO. “We are happy to provide this unique opportunity for FCPS students to learn about personal finance and money management in a fun and unique way. We look forward to launching additional Clubs throughout Frederick.”

The Millionaire’s Club provides seed grants and a detailed curriculum, developed by the National Endowment for Financial Education. Students elect their own leaders and participate in programs including an entrepreneurial project that allows them to put into practice their newfound skills to generate funds for the Club.

“The Millionaire’s Club has been hugely successful and popular among our students,” says FCPS Superintendent Dr. Terry Alban.” Nymeo’s partnership demystifies the world of finance for young people by focusing on real-world skills. Most importantly, the Millionaire’s Club is simply fun for students. We’re extremely grateful for Nymeo’s leadership.”

High schools in Frederick County interested in offering the Millionaire’s Club may contact Nymeo at marketing@nymeo.org for more information.
