Mill City Credit Union - MINNETONKA, Minn. (October 12, 2018) - Each year, Mill City Credit Union (CU) employees nominate and vote on one charitable organization to support. For 2018, employees voted to support Sharing & Caring Hands, a non-profit organization in Minneapolis assisting those who are unable to obtain help from the welfare system. The organization provides a host of services that include food, clothing, shelter, transportation assistance, medical and dental help and much more to the 20,000 people that come through their facility each month.

Total money raised climbed to $2,300 for Sharing & Caring Hands. Mill City CU employees were busy hosting silent auctions, cook-offs, and several other internal fundraisers to raise money for the non- profit. Earlier in the year, employees also assembled 60 hygiene kits that Sharing & Caring Hands was able to donate to individuals who were homeless.

Mill City CU employees presented the check to a representative of Sharing & Caring Hands on October 8, also known as CU Forward Day in Minnesota. CU Forward Day is statewide day of credit unions sharing kindness and is organized by the Minnesota Credit Union Network.
