Montana - This past Wednesday, a contingent of Park Side CU employees descended on a Habitat for Humanity (H4H) of the Flathead Valley build site, bringing lunch to the volunteers and jumping in to trim out some closets while there. H4H posted a big "Thank You" (and the above photo) on Facebook, tagging it with #CUdifference. You've got to love it when a community organization helps spread the word!

H4H knows first hand what a difference credit union involvement can make… Park Side CU has worked with H4H in the Flathead for over 10 years, and Habitat has been a "Park Side Partner" in both Missoula and the Flathead. The credit union has supported H4H through matched campaigns such as the Great Fish Challenge in Whitefish and Missoula Gives. But, it's not just about the money … The credit union sponsors three to four build days each year and, over the years, Park Side employees have helped to complete over 12 homes and donated almost 500 hours of sweat equity. “We’ve witnessed the journey of so many families who move from substandard housing situations to their own home to achieve their dream of homeownership," said Josh Kroll, vice president of marketing. "Our employees give time at the build site and within the credit union’s walls, where the H4H families feel like they can trust someone with their financial decisions since they’ve already (literally) worked with one another.” Talk about making a #CUdifference!
