Heritage Family CU Helps Members Qualify for Home Purchase

Heritage Family CU members were living in her parents’ house paying rent (parents moved to Florida).  Member and her husband are both self-employed.  With this purchase they were getting a 20% gift of equity from her parents but were still tight on cash for closing costs. Due to them being a family of 4, they fell into the “low income” category and we were able to qualify for a grant program.  We got them a grant for to pay for all of their closing costs.  The members only had to contribute $500 to purchasing this home.  Now they can call it THEIR home.
