Greensboro, N.C., & Middletown, Pa. (October 2, 2018) – Vizo Financial donated $25,000 through the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to help credit unions and communities impacted by Hurricane Florence.

The Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund was created to provide aid to credit unions and grants to credit union employees and volunteers who are unable to stay in their homes due to damage or have incurred significant evacuation expenses.

“These were our neighbors, our friends, credit unions and people we’ve had relationships with for years, right in the line of the hurricane’s destruction,” said David Brehmer, president of Vizo Financial. “To look at the devastation and uncertainty they were left with after Florence came through, providing monetary aid was the least we could do.”

“There are communities that have yet to start their cleanup and normalization efforts because of continued aftereffects from the storm,” said Vizo Financial CEO, Jay Murray. “If our donation can help credit unions – and ultimately, the people – in those communities, then we’ve done our job. We’ve succeeded in our mission of people helping people.”
