Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation Collects Donations to Support Hurricane Florence Relief

Affinity Federal Credit Union, New Jersey's largest credit union, is a member-owned, not-for-profit, full-service financial institution.
Basking Ridge, N.J. (October 3, 2018) – As Hurricane Florence continued to produce mass flooding and destruction to the Carolinas, Affinity Federal Credit Union remained committed to helping those affected. The Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation implemented fundraising activities to donate to relief efforts.
The Foundation launched an online donation portal, open to both members and non-members, to make a contribution directly to CU Aid, the disaster relief fund established by the National Credit Union Foundation.
In addition, Affinity hosted an Employee Jeans Day on September 28, 2018 where staff members were encouraged to make a $5 donation to dress in jeans for the day and the Foundation matched every donation made. This initiative raised $1,760.

Fenton, President and CEO of Affinity Federal Credit Union. “It’s our responsibility as community partners, particularly for our more than 4,000 members in the South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia Florence hurricane zones, to do all we can to help those in need.”
