Bear Paw CU Recognized for Giving Back to Community

On September 22 the results from the Havre Area Events "Best of 2018 Community Survey" were announced, and – thanks to the many votes from community members – Bear Paw CU was recognized as the "Best Bank/Credit Union." Bear Paw gives back to the entire community of Havre in many ways, but a real (and favorite) focus are the community's youth. Every year during August, Bear Paw holds a special month-long event in their branches to encourage kids to save. They waive the $5 fee to open a youth savings account, and, in past years, have held a Youth Day in the Park to spread fun and awareness to the entire community. But, it's not just about savings … it's about learning to give back. And, as Financial Service Rep Alicia Burrington says, Bear Paw staff model community involvement to an amazing degree. "Not only are the employees at Bear Paw CU all members of the credit union, we are all members of our community and very involved, whether it's finding ways to support the Montana Wildfire Fighters last year, supporting our law enforcement, starting a dog park for our community, or being a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, etc.,... I believe the motivation for that starts at a young age." Congratulations Bear Paw Credit Union on making a real #CUDifference to the youth of your community!
