Christian Community CU Donates $10,000 for Laos Flood Victims
September 28, 2018
In response to the devastating flooding in Laos caused by a dam collapse, Christian Community Credit Union donated $10,000 through a matching donation to Operation Mobilization (OM). The donation will go towards providing food, shelter, hygiene packs, and other relief efforts.
The funds for the donation come from the Credit Union’s “Cards That Give to Missions” Program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit cards for purchases.
“We are so grateful for the support of Christian Community Credit Union’s matching fund offer,” said Andrew Scott, President of Operation Mobilization USA. “Thank you for helping our workers in the area to bring the love of Christ to those who are suffering in Laos.”
