Great River Federal Credit Union Awards $2,500 to Quiet Oaks Hospice House

Great River Federal Credit Union - ST. CLOUD, MN - Great River Federal Credit Union (FCU) has announced the winner of its quarter 3 Great River Gives Back campaign. The winning, non-profit organization Quiet Oaks Hospice House was awarded $2,500 from the credit union and the 2nd and 3rd place organizations, Your St. Cloud Stand Down, and Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992, were each awarded $500.
The mission and purpose of Great River Gives Back is to support the members and local communities in the areas where we all live, work and play. Great River FCU is deeply committed to creating a positive impact right here at home.
About Great River Gives Back
Great River Gives Back is a campaign that honors the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and inspires charitable giving throughout Central Minnesota. Community members can nominate their favorite non-profit through Great River FCU website.
How it works:
Nominate: The first month of each quarter (January, April, July & October) we will accept a printed outline or detailed letter/email with requests to receive $2,500 for a non-profit organization with a specific need in our local community. Finalists will be chosen by a GRFCU committee.
Learn/Vote: The second month of that quarter (February, May, August & November), our GRFCU Members & the community will have the opportunity to vote between the final three organizations on which they think the money should be awarded to. As a thank you for their effort, the second and third place winners will receive $500 towards their project.
Share: The 3rd month of that specific quarter (March, June, September & December) will be a highlight of the final three organizations.
To be eligible, the organization must be a not-for-profit organization, have a physical address within Great River FCU charter, not be a sponsor of political or partisan organizations, not be religious based, and not seeking funds for a personal or individual endeavor.
