On Saturday, August 25th, Dakota Plains Credit Union partnered with the local organization called “All Around with Downs” to have a Family Fun Day in the South Park at Ellendale, North Dakota. On a hot summer day, many people from the community came out to celebrate the installation of two brand new inclusion swings.

The swings are designed to help children with disabilities to have more support when they are sitting and swinging in them. Brittany Bain is the founder of All Around with Downs, and she applied for grants with the North Dakota State Council on Developmental Disabilities. The organization received the funds to purchase the inclusion swings, and the Ellendale Parks Department is very happy with the new addition and assisted with the installation.

Dakota Plains Credit Union was there to celebrate with the community. Credit union staff members Bridget Henning, Rebekah Scallon and Abbey Janke served hot dogs, chips and snow cones to the people in attendance. Everyone was able to go home with a goodie bag as well and were treated to many other food items such as cookies, popcorn and water. Dakota Plains Credit Union was proud to be a sponsor of this wonderful event.

Dakota Plains Credit Union, chartered in 1941, is based in Edgeley, ND with branches in Ellendale and Enderlin. The credit union serves more than 4,300 members and holds over $75M in assets.
