Basking Ridge, N.J. (September 12, 2018) – The Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation recently supported local communities by collecting over 1,000 donated back to school items including notebooks, binders, folders, backpacks, pencils and markers for students and families in all Affinity New Jersey, New York and Connecticut branches. The total of donated items reached nearly $3,000 in value.
The supplies collected benefitted Cornerstone Family Programs, located in Morristown, New Jersey; People to People, Rockland County’s largest food pantry, in Nanuet, New York; and New Reach in New Haven, Connecticut. The initiatives of these charities focus on giving back to the community and bettering the lives of veterans, those affected by homelessness, low-income families and children.
“Once again, our members and community connected demonstrated their generosity and firm sense of social purpose through an abundance of donations,” said Jacqui Kearns, Chief Brand Officer at Affinity Federal Credit Union. “We are dedicated to giving back and strive to assist those in need through varied philanthropic initiatives such as this one.”
