american1JACKSON, Mich. American 1 Credit Union is dedicated to the communities they serve and feel strongly about giving back. American 1 Credit Union raises money each month for different local charities. During the month of April funds were raised for Macomb Intermediate School District Homeless Education, a program designed to help young children with school supplies, clothing, and hygiene products. It enables all students the education they deserve and the tools needed to obtain it. During the month of March, employees participate in fun activities by making a donation to the charity account. This month we held our quarterly meeting where staff was able to pick where and whom they wanted to sit with by making a donation. American 1s Home Office and North Street branch locations in Jackson also have fresh popped popcorn and bottled water available for a donation for members, every Friday. The last Friday of the month we also made caramel corn, which was a huge success. A total of $752.89 was raised for MISD Homeless Education. For more information on project please visit: http://www.misd.net/homeless/.
