Hanscom AFB, MA (August 29, 2018) – Senior Airmen from a number of area military bases graduated from Hanscom Air Force Base’s five-week long Airman Leadership School (ALS) on August 10. Among the highlights of the event was the presentation of the John J. Levitow Award to SrA Keith Keen, 66th Security Forces Squadron investigator. Hanscom Federal Credit Union sponsored the graduation ceremony as it has done in the past.

The ALS is the first professional military education that enlisted Air Force personnel encounter in their careers. The school prepares them for supervisory roles by strengthening their ability to lead, follow, and manage while helping them gain a broader understanding of their profession.

“The ALS at Hanscom AFB consistently turns out the best of the best. The hard work and dedication these Airmen have put into their studies is worth celebrating,” said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board of Hanscom FCU. “These young men and women of the U.S. Air Force are the leaders of the future, and we at Hanscom Federal Credit Union are proud of the accomplishments they’ve achieved.”

The ALS at Hanscom AFB included students from Westover ARB, MA; Pease ANGB, NH; Barnes ANGB, MA; Cape Cod AFS, MA; Hanscom AFB, MA, and the USCG.
